2009 Award winner of Themed Entertainment Association, Best theme park land. A major, 4-acre renovation to turn one of the original villages in Busch Gardens into its most innovative, highly-themed area.
This new destination features enriching tiger and orangutans in naturalistic environment, a large children’s play area with rides and up-close encounters with animals. It also includes entertainment, two restaurants and a major gift shop.
A powerful way to engage zoo visitors is to bring them eye-to-eye with animals they could not normally get close to, which Jungala did with great success.
As Director of Creative Development for Busch entertainment Corporation (now SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment), Jumana Brodersen led the product development strategy, overall master planning and design, and guided the look and character for the setting of all project elements including animal exhibits, play areas, restaurants and retail, from concept through project completion.
